Information
-
All dogs in our program are purebred
Shelties, unless otherwise noted.
-
All Shelties listed are vet checked and
healthy, spayed or neutered, brought current on shots, HW tested, wormed, flea
protected, micro-chipped and groomed before they leave here.
-
Our Senior Program is a program developed
to promote the placement of senior dogs, (which are always so hard to
adopt out). Under this program, we will help with vet
bills for extraordinary or age related issues. Ask for details.

We do not recommend most
Shelties with toddlers. If you have small children, we would
suggest a Lab or Golden Retriever. These breeds are much
better with small children.
-
For the comfort and safety of our dogs,
we require a fully fenced (front or rear) yard to adopt a dog from us.
-
Size- All Shelties that we list are
measured (in inches) from the ground to the top of the dogs
back/neck....not the top of the head. There is NO SUCH BREED
as a "Miniature Sheltie". There are very small Shelties and
there are large shelties, but they are all "Shelties"

Misty (left) Gizmo (right)
Gizzy and Misty came to us when their owner died. Gizzy is a
playful 7 and his adored companion Misty is 12. Well
behaved, friendly, loving.....both these
dogs will totally steal your heart once you meet them. Both are in
good health and really would love to stay together. Both are
very small shelties. Housetrained, healthy and VERY cuddly. |

Albert and Savanah Shaded Sable 6 yr old
littermates. Boy and Girl.
Never abused, but rescued from a really bad
situation. Averaged size Shelties.
Shy at first, then very sweet, loving and happy. Albert (left)
is the shyer cuddly one, and Savannah (right)
is the silly more outgoing one. |

Wilson
Sable male. 7-8 years old. Very
skittish and shy. Wilson has low thyroid that was never
treated and it robbed him of his beautiful coat, however now on
medication he will regrow a long beautiful coat again. He enjoys being loved on and petted, but
will need lots of socialization and some help overcoming his shyness.
He loves playing with the other dogs, so a home with another dog would
be good. Wilson is
18 pounds and is smaller than this picture makes him look.
If you enjoy the love and devotion from rehabbing the scared ones,
Wilson is your man!!

Buster loves to play ball.
Buster - 10 yr old male
Another heartbreaking story..... Buster was sick
and badly needed vet care. Instead he got banned from the house
(probably because the infection smelled so bad) Finally a
worried neighbor called us and we went and got Buster.
Buster is going to make a full recovery. Buster is the most
loving sweet dog you could meet. Buster is a shaded sable and is
around 35-40 pounds. Housetrained and wonderful with kids and
all other animals.
Time and love are what is needed to complete
Buster's recovery. The infection is gone and now the healing
begins.

Simon Beautiful sable 7 yr old male.
Quiet and calm. Simon was a stud dog in a facility that
got closed down. When they found Simon (and other dogs) he was living
in filth in the basement. Simon is relearning his housetraining
skills. A good routine is all it is taking. Sweet,
gentle and just a nice boy. Simon would love a quiet home
with maybe another dog to pal around with. Rides well in the car
and walks well on a leash, and is good with other dogs. |

Missy 3
Average sized Tri-Color girl. 9 years old.
Was in pretty rough shape when we got her from low thyroid, but on
meds has steadily improved. She has a ways to go, but all
that is needed now is time and love. She is the perfect girl!!
Housetrained, sweet, affectionate and has perfect ladylike manners.
Missy was given up by a family who lost their home to foreclosure.
She has always been much loved, and it shows! |

Missy 5
Missy is a 7 yr old beautiful
bigger sable girl.
Missy was given up due to divorce. Missy is grossly overweight
and is not real fond of the diet we have her on.... but she still has
tail wags for all. We suspect low thyroid, but the
blood tests have not come back yet. Sweet, laid back and easy going,
housetrained and loving. She has a huge coat on her that most
breeders would kill for. This gal needs a home with few or no stairs
(at least right now), and with someone that has time to leash walk
some of this FAT off her. This picture was taken right
after we cut out much of her coat trying to get the mats out, so
pardon her bad hair. We tried our best to save her coat, but it
was so matted we ended up having to shave the whole back end. I
swear I don't think she had been brushed or groomed in years.
She will re-grow her long beautiful coat in no time. |

Savannah
Momma of the puppies. Darling, playful, sweet sable
girl. 4 yrs old. She will be spayed early August and
ready for a fun loving home with a big (fenced of course) yard that she can chase her
favorite ball in. Housetrained, friendly and gets along
with about anything. Savannah is about 25 pounds and about
17 inches tall. |

Susie-Q
Beautiful bigger Blue Merle female. Susie is
a mill rescue, so has some learning to do, but she has a surprisingly
sweet, friendly temperament. Now free from a life of breeding,
she is learning how to be a house-pet and she LOVES it.
Susie is very calm and laid back and doesn't get upset about anything.
Susie has one Blue eye and one Brown eye. This is the only
picture I have of her that she is looking at the camera... and it was
taken before she was groomed. Since her grooming, she refuses to
look at the camera.
Susie is crate trained, and fine with any other animal.
